The final symbol family without a background shape nor colors.

Addition of a background shape to the final symbol icons. The chosen shape is a circle to match the organic and simplistic style of the forms.

The final symbol set with the application of a 2-color palette.

The final phase with the addition of a root and determinant. I chose to designate the hand symbol as the root due to its versatility and distinct form. Then I was assigned the scenario of a children's zoo and created three new symbols based on three referents within that category. The three referents (from left to right) are animal bathing station, feed dispenser, and butterfly garden. I also chose to apply the color orange to the referent additions because orange is complementary to blue and causes the additions to stand out and highlight the new meaning.
